Club News
The diving season is now here, with our first club dive on the 01st April. It might still be a little cold for some, but it can only get warmer!!

Jo Merrick, who has contributed to the club enormously over the years as training officer, instructor, and try-dive coordinator and lots more besides, has decided to step down as Training Officer due to preg-nancy.

Len Sumner has been chosen to take over from Jo. We would like to thank Jo for all her hard work!

I hope you all have a good meeting and are looking forward to a good years diving and training under the new Team

Simon Fennell (Diving Officer) –
In anticipation of the start of the new season, I am arranging a day at Vob-ster Quay (Somerset) on Sunday 1 April as a shakedown dive for anyone who is interested. There are no limits on how many people can attend, cost is limited to entry to the site and your gas for the day.
This is a good opportunity for those of you who haven't been too active over the winter to get the kit out and give it a try prior to going on anything more adventurous and finding holes in suits, dodgy regulators etc. There is no guarantee that instructors will be available on the day, however if people
wish to try and get some training covered (OD, SD or DL) then let me know and we can try and accommodate you.
There is no need to commit to going, you can just turn up on the day, how-ever an indication of who is interested would help in sorting out buddy pairs and having an initial plan for the day.
More information on the site is available at http://www.vobsterquay.co.uk/ including directions and what there is to see. His-tory suggests that Vobster will be a bit quieter than Stoney Cove, with much fewer schools doing mass training days so should make for a more enjoyable (and quieter) day out.
