We have a baby girl, Isla Jane Merrick, born 23rd July 2007 at 04:45 at John Radcliffe Hospital, 7lb 3, all doing fine. Jo and Paul Big Tuesday – On 07th August 2007,

Big Tuesday
The Shark Trust are coming to the British Legion for the Big Tuesday Seminar!! Deborah would appreciate if people could arrive promptly to help set up the chairs etc. It looks to be a very popular event and Deborah is hoping to start the evening at 8.30pm.

Congratulations to Steve Wilkins who is now a qualified BSAC Ocean Diver and is well into his training for Sports Diver!!

Congratulations also to Pete Mowatt, our boat officer who is now a qualified BSAC OWI!!! Congratulations to Alan Davis, Damian Stafford and Rob Taylor on successfully completing the boat handling course. We’re sure these guys will help reduce the burden on the existing Rib Cox's and allow us to make even more use of the Rib for both Training and recreational diving. Review to follow...

On 19th June 2007 the club had a BBQ at the Squirrel pub in Booker. Despite the heavens opening it was a huge success!! Thank you to all those involved in organising it!!!

Congratulations to Eunice Kendall who is now a qualified BSAC Ocean Diver!!

On 5th June 2007 Vicki Billings gave a talk on her Norwegian trip, the talk was very informative and interesting. Thank You Vicki the photos were fantastic!

Little Tuesday – This Tuesday the club is having a BBQ at the Squirrel pub in Booker. The action starts at 7.30pm and hopefully the weather will be on our side?! If you are coming along and haven’t already told Deborah Davis, the clubs social secretary, that you are please do so Deborah can arrange the food!!

The clubs diving season is now well underway, and only a small amount of bad weather reported!!
This Tuesday (05 June 2007) is Big Tuesday with the Vicki Billings kindly placing herself in the spotlight to talk to us all about Norwegian Coral Reefs. Vicki as you may well know is a fountain of knowledge on marine life and this talk looks to be both very fascinating and popular, so be sure to get there nice and early to get the best pew!!

Pre- Qualified divers joining the British Sub-Aqua Club The British Sub-Aqua Club allows HWSAC to welcome new mem-bers who have undertaken diver training by recognised organi-sations, whether recreational, commercial or military. Divers can join a HWSAC and enjoy diving with our branch within the rec-ommendations of their existing qualification and BSAC Safe Diving Practices (whichever is the more conservative). The diving season is now here, with our first club dive on the 01st April. It might still be a little cold for some, but it can only get warmer!!

Jo Merrick, who has contributed to the club enormously over the years as training officer, instructor, and try-dive coordinator and lots more besides, has decided to step down as Training Officer due to preg-nancy.

Len Sumner has been chosen to take over from Jo. We would like to thank Jo for all her hard work!
April Big Tuesday – AGM - This year many committee positions are being voted for, so if you want to have a say its very important that you attend!
